Claudia Melissa

Claudia Melissa is a specialist in the structuring and development of cultural projects, transforming strong ideas and creative concepts into sustainable ventures. With a focus on the creative economy, her work combines strategic analysis, operational design, and project viability assessment from the earliest stages, guiding decisions that bring consistency, feasibility, and long-term value to cultural initiatives.
With more than two decades of experience in the industry, Claudia has built a solid career in the development of audiovisual and cultural projects. Her expertise bridges creative development, financial planning, and production structuring, ensuring clarity and coherence throughout the entire project lifecycle. This trajectory is reflected in a portfolio of more than 20 productions—including feature films, television series, documentaries, and festivals—in which she has played a key role in designing management models and budget structures.
Her credits include nationally recognized productions such as Monica and Friends: Bonds (Turma da Mônica: Laços), Vidas Bandidas, Love of My Life (Amor da Minha Vida), Jogo Cruzado, Passagrana, and The Super Fantastic Story of Balão Mágico (A Superfantástica História do Balão Mágico).
Her distinctive strength lies in the ability to identify, at the earliest stages of development, the most effective pathways for financing, positioning, and distribution. Drawing on her background in Psychoanalysis, she applies an analytical approach to creative processes, enabling her to decode a project’s core intentions and navigate the tensions that often arise between artistic vision and executive requirements. This perspective enhances both the efficiency of project structuring and the long-term sustainability of creative businesses.
Claudia works with a wide range of clients, from independent artists and emerging creators to major industry players, combining strategic thinking with hands-on execution. She holds a Master’s degree in Communication and Cinema from the Fluminense Federal University (UFF), a specialization in Film and Television Business from Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV), and a degree in Advertising from the Federal University of Goiás (UFG). She also serves as a university lecturer.
She is the author of Trailer: Cinema and Advertising on the Same Reel (Trailer: cinema e publicidade no mesmo rolo), a landmark publication in Brazilian film studies and the first book published in the country dedicated to examining the role, function, and forms of the film trailer.
