Matheus is a lawyer graduated from the Federal University of Sergipe, with additional training in Startups and New Business Ventures as well as Corporate Law. At Lemos Consultoria and ARTIS, he works on legal matters related to audiovisual productions, focusing on the legal structuring of projects and the contractual organization of the various stages of the production chain.

His practice includes drafting and reviewing contracts, managing licensing processes involving creative works and third-party rights, and preparing legal opinions for businesses operating in the entertainment, arts, and digital media sectors. With a practical understanding of project dynamics, he contributes to ensuring that creative operations are conducted with legal consistency, clear documentation, and secure exploitation of the rights involved.

His professional trajectory is also marked by a strong academic interest in intellectual property, copyright law, and cultural policy. He holds a certificate from CopyrightX, a program developed by Harvard Law School in partnership with ITS Rio, and has participated in several research and study groups, including GEDAI at the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR), the Law and Audiovisual Studies Group at the University of São Paulo (USP) Law School, and IDEA, where he served as co-organizer of the Law and Culture Papers examining the impacts of the pandemic on Brazil’s cultural sector.

At the intersection of law, creativity, and production, Matheus has developed a practice dedicated to the legal viability of audiovisual projects and the protection of the assets that support creative work and innovation.
